English For Specific Purpose (ESP)
From June 2014 onwards, Lyceum has introduced an Add-on English Class for the betterment of the pupils in English, namely ESP. The motto behind the introduction of such segment is the overall upgradation of writing skill, speaking fluency and proper knowledge in functional grammar of pupils in English specifically for the students who are coming from the Bengali Medium background. It will help in their career formation too.
Tenure of Course: 2 Years
- Foundation Course – 1 year – To be taught in Class XI
- Advanced Course – 1 year – To be taught in 1st year (Degree Course)
Successful candidates will be awarded with a Certificate by Lyceum which is now an ISO 9001:20015 Certified Company.
Our Examination System:
We have a very well planned Examination System for all classes right from Class VIII to Degree Course (Graduation Level) from the very inception of its operation at par with Board, Council and University Examination system and question pattern. This system, undoubtedly, help our children immensely for their School Annual Exams, Board, Council and University Examinations.
Class VIII & IX
- MCQ-SAQ Test routine wise for all subjects at least twice in a year.
- Half Yearly Examination right before the School Half Yearly Examination.
- Final/Annual Examination right before the School Annual Examination.
Class X
- MCQ-SAQ Test routine wise for all subjects at least twice in a year.
- Pre-Test Examination right before the School Pre-Test Examination.
- Test Examination right before the School Test/Selection Examination.
- Final Examination right before the Madhyamik Examination.
Class XI (Arts & Commerce)
- MCQ-SAQ Test routine wise for all subjects at least twice in a year.
- Final Examination right before the School Annual Examination.
Class XII(Arts & Commerce)
- MCQ-SAQ Test routine wise for all subjects at least twice in a year.

CORE BATCH
In constant pursuit to Zenith of Academic and Professional Success, LYCEUM, for first time, experimentally started off Beng-Eng-Accts. Classes for Madhyamik Pass-out, seeking their ways into the Class – XI Zone, & looking for particular academic destination. This batch, comprising around 38 eager pupils, is intended to flourish in Council Exam, 2017 & is therefore, treated with utmost care & concern by respectives teachers.
